Job Description:
Summary:
The Supervisor, Process Engineering is responsible for, as well as providing day-to-day engineering support and implementing improvements for the product manufacturing process, as well as the supervision/development of the engineering team
Essential Functions:
- Works in a cross-functional team environment to maintain safety, product quality/yield, and manufacturing effectiveness through daily troubleshooting and resolution of process difficulties
- Optimizes manufacturing processes to make sustainable gains in cost effectiveness and product performance through designed experiments, statistical analysis, process changes, and capital projects.
- Ensures Engineering projects are completed within scope of work, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborates with internal and external customers to resolve quality issues and provide technical support.
- Directs, supervises, and develops Senior Engineers and/or entry-level Engineers.
- Develops, measures, and motivates team members to achieve Engineering department performance goals.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Five or more years’ professional Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing technical professionals
- Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and “first time right” quality principles
- Demonstrated history of successful project management
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of manufacturing personnel and corporate management
- Self-starter with strong leadership skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
- Able to prioritize, multi-task, remain flexible to changes, and delegate work to ensure timely completion of projects
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Demonstrated history of solving technical problems relating to mechanics, thermodynamics, and/or materials characterization
- Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt certification and/or Lean Bronze/Silver/Gold certification
- Project management certification
- Knowledge of quality systems tools including SPC, FMEA, Process Flow Charting, and ISO/IATF-16949 quality systems
