Job Description: 

Summary:

The MF1 Utility Operator will be responsible for the operation of a band saw, a horizontal slitter, and supporting the MF1’s Bun pouring operation’s de-molding and Post-cure and Assembly processes. The operator will be required to float between these operations as needed to maintain production efficiency. Other essential functions will include visual inspection of parts, maintaining and changing saw blades, internal force deflection (IFD) testing, and routine area cleanup.

Essential Functions:

  • Setup, operate, and troubleshoot band saw, and slitting equipment to ensure the safe, efficient production of MF1 sub-assembly parts. 20 %
  • Provide support to the Pouring operation’s De-mold and Post-cure processes. 50 %
  • Provide assembly support during times of high demand. 10 %
  • Perform visual inspection and physical property testing on sub-assemblies in accordance with internal and external quality control procedures. 5 %
  • Work with engineering and production on continuous improvement / Six Sigma projects as needed. 5 %
  • Communicate with various departments such as quality, shipping and value added on product quality issues material availability for further processing or shipping. 5 %
  • Maintain safe work environment, minor maintenance on equipment and area cleanup. 5 %

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail,
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude,
  • Good communication skills,
  • Minimum of 2 years general manufacturing experience (with Rogers or another company).
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
  • 5-7 years general manufacturing experience. 
  • 1-2 years experience with band saw or similar continuous blade equipment.
