Job Description: 


Perform In- process / final testing and inspection activities to ensure compliance to specifications for both the MF-1 and Sponge lines. Provide support to the production of both lines and quality testing as required. Requires direct interface with Quality Department and Supervision for disposition of nonconforming material and compliance to requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for visual and dimensional inspection of MF-1 and Sponge products in accordance with Product Quality Specification (PQS) requirements, drawings, control plans as well as documenting results of such inspections on appropriate forms. 60%
  • In-process testing of bun and sponge and entering and reporting results into applicable database / software systems. Disposition and acceptance of buns / seats /parts and sponge sheets /rolls and placement into the MRP system and ensure proper traceability. 15%
  •  Responsible for collecting thickness data and placement into electronic software (where appropriate). 15%
  • Crosstrained to assist with the MF-1 and Sponge line production. 5%
  •  Support for qualification testing and inspection of new products or improvement projects. 5%

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency as well as 1-3 years experience in a Quality manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Moderate knowledge with computers and database management.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Must be a strong communicator.
