This position works Monday - Friday, 2nd shift, approximately 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.  The Quality Tech Associate is responsible for analysis of various routine and non-routine materials within ACS manufacturing facilities. The Associate must work with all levels within the organization to ensure quality product and documentation, accurate data and continuous quality improvement. The Associate will utilize testing equipment, data reporting tools, and various computer programs. The Associate will be responsible for taking initiative and ownership by using logical reasoning to identify solutions for corrective actions and continuous improvement within the organization, and primarily within quality and production. 

Essential Functions:

Essential functions are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples. • Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release. • Perform visual inspections of finished products. • Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses. • Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms. • Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions. • Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions. • Inspect raw materials. • Investigate or report questionable test results. • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. • Communicate with others to convey information effectively.


Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Strong mathematical ability, with aptitude for use and understanding of quality data
  • Experience with computer applications such as PeopleSoft, ETQ – process and training documents, and Infinity – data analysis tools, and familiarity with MS Office Suite
  • Minimum of 12 months final inspection experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the ACS division
  • Ability to use various testing tools such as microscope, eye-loop meter, and a micrometer.
  • Familiarity with control charts and SPC
  • Five or more years’ experience in quality inspection
  • 3 or more years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Some college coursework
  • Ability to train other associates may be needed
  • Willingness to contribute to process improvements and cost reductions
  • Some areas may require US Citizenship or Permanent Residency due to ITAR regulations.
