Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and data solutions.  The primary focus is on requirements gathering for analytics solutions, ensuring data governance compliance, and providing analytical expertise to support the success of our data projects. 

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements for analytics solutions.
  • Analyze and translate business needs into data requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Develop minimal viable product (MVP) or prototype analytic products for initial review as needed.
  • Drive innovation among the community of analytics minded users in the areas.
  • Drive agile delivery of scaled up versions of analytic products and ensure delivered products satisfy needs of business partners.
  • Act as the primary facilitator for data governance efforts, including intake of new governance concerns, prioritization, and facilitation of meetings which lead to documentable decisions.
  • Participate in all phases of data projects from inception to implementation. Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant business/data analytics experience.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, data visualization, and proficiency with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
