Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting the preparation of external financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with U.S. generally accepted accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reports and disclosures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing strategic insights on financial performance and compliance matters.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting close process.
  • Support for various areas related to technical accounting including pension, equity compensation, and goodwill, and other in tangible assets, ASC 842 related to leases, and revenue recognition under ASC 606.
  • Responsible for supporting and preparing various disclosures included in Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, including earnings press releases filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
  • Helps update and maintain the company’s accounting policies and ensures they follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Assists with other technical accounting research efforts.
  • Assists in analyzing and researching new and proposed accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission and assists in the preparation of memorandums regarding the Company’s position and impact on the Company.
  • Assist with audit requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years of financial reporting and technical accounting experience with Public Accounting a plus
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
