Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for partnering with the marketing team to understand customer needs and then translate then into research and development program objectives to grow the RF Solutions business. The individual will oversee complex research projects, analyze results, and provide recommendations based on findings; plan and organize interdepartmental and cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the programs to timelines, and within budget.  This role will manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians and is in person, based in our Chandler, AZ location. 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage complex R&D product development programs involving multiple cross-functional teams focused on advancing the R&D pipeline, aligned with business strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to identify new opportunities and establish priorities within core businesses as well as new business development areas.
  • work closely with cross-functional groups to ensure seamless process/product integration, adherence to quality processes, compliance standards and support.
  • Lead technology road-mapping efforts with cross-functional team. Identify, acquire or develop key technologies to maintain or establish leadership in key strategic markets. 
  • Motivate and retain diverse talent, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee projects from ideation to successful market execution.
  • Utilize appropriate stage-gate process to document deliverables, management processes and participates in process improvement efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, polymer science, material science, chemical engineering, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in Research and Development or New Product Development, experience in materials and material-driven applications preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in complex, technical program / project management, or other product development leadership
  • Demonstrated success leading research and development professionals and technicians
  • Strong project planning and management, decision-making, problem-solving and risk management skills
  • Working knowledge of new product development methodologies; ability to be creative in achieving objectives while assuring compliance to internal and external requirements; ability to utilize commonly accepted project management tools to assist in the development of and adherence to a schedule; ability or aptitude to work on problems that are complex in scope where analysis of situations or data involves multiple competing factors
  • Skilled in interpreting technology and market trends as a basis for technology and product roadmaps
