Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for delivering procurement savings at or better than market, clearly defining strategic account plans and engagement to meet supplier objectives, and providing deep and up-to-date market insights to drive meaningful business outcomes. This role will enable deeper innovative engagement enabling new product development aligned with business objectives and foster and build deep procurement analytics and core sourcing practices with the teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and lead sourcing strategies, including conducting/leading market research and analysis.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned to business priorities and leveraging internal and external trends.
  • Lead the process to select and manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings and value creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing priorities with business strategy and objectives.
  • Participate in key business meetings, providing thought partnership as it pertains to supply strategy and risk.
  • Implement best practices in category management and execution to optimize value chain.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in sourcing processes and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in procurement and sourcing activities.
  • Conduct company-wide training on the company's strategic sourcing process and appropriate tools.
  • Work with senior leaders to identify, attract, develop, and retain talent to the procurement organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain management or related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of proven category management and developing and implementing supply strategies.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in category management, commercial roles, technology, supply chain, and supplier relationship management.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking to identify and solve complex sourcing problems with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
