Job Description: 

Summary:

A Rogers Corporation Buyer is responsible for sourcing, procurement, negotiating and on time delivery of expense, supply, MRO, production, service items and some raw materials.

Essential Functions:

  • Planning and ordering of raw materials, monitoring of delivery dates and coordination with the relevant departments
  • Preparation and implementation of tenders, negotiations and supplier meetings
  • Creating and sending orders, checking order confirmations and delivery dates
  • Preparation and implementation of new cost saving strategies
  • Supplier search, establishment & maintenance of partnerships with Hungarian/Eastern European suppliers
  • Intensification of second source qualification for suppliers in the area of production, MRO, etc.
  • Communication with suppliers
  • Supporting the Purchasing Manager in audits (customer & supplier audits (VDA), ISO/IATF, SOX, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable apprenticeship program
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Affinity for numbers, dates, facts
  • Structured way of working
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Negotiation skills
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Enjoy working in an international environment
