Job Description:
Summary:
A Rogers Corporation Buyer is responsible for sourcing, procurement, negotiating and on time delivery of expense, supply, MRO, production, service items and some raw materials.
Essential Functions:
- Planning and ordering of raw materials, monitoring of delivery dates and coordination with the relevant departments
- Preparation and implementation of tenders, negotiations and supplier meetings
- Creating and sending orders, checking order confirmations and delivery dates
- Preparation and implementation of new cost saving strategies
- Supplier search, establishment & maintenance of partnerships with Hungarian/Eastern European suppliers
- Intensification of second source qualification for suppliers in the area of production, MRO, etc.
- Communication with suppliers
- Supporting the Purchasing Manager in audits (customer & supplier audits (VDA), ISO/IATF, SOX, etc.)

- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable apprenticeship program
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with SAP
- Affinity for numbers, dates, facts
- Structured way of working
- Fluency in German and English
- Negotiation skills
- Hands-on mentality
- Enjoy working in an international environment
