Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for enhancement of customer satisfaction through sustained managing of customer complaints. Assist internal QE department inspection resources in the accuracy of defect detection and Engineering in the correction/improvement of products and processes. Supervise development, implementation and verification of product and processes related to internal and external quality requirements. Work in conjunction with Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations to drive continuous improvement and ensure quality objectives are met. Ensure product/process conformity to internal, customer and third party regulatory requirements. Actively work as part of a highly integrated product line team.

Essential Functions:

  • Proactive quality assurance through regular quality monitoring within production
  • Processing of customer complaints
  • Technical clarification of quality problems with customers
  • Participation in customer visits and audits
  • Participation in or implementation of internal audits and monitoring of measures
  • Creation of production control plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Participation in projects (APQP, PPAP, CIP, etc.)
  • Implementation and monitoring of the requirements from ISO TS 16949 (IATF)
  • Failure/vulnerability analysis
  • Supervision and moderation of QFD and FMEA (desirable)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Engineering degree (BE, Dipl. Ing)
  • Years of Experience: 2+ years
  • Knowledge of statistics (Shainin RedX and/or SixSigma skills desirable)
  • Training and experience in quality techniques and core tools (e.g. SPC; MSA, APQP ...).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Confident demeanor and assertiveness with a can-do attitude
  • Experience with automotive customers is an advantage
  • Travel Requirement:  10%
