Job Description: 

Summary:

Resolve User Support problems with minimal supervisions in a timely and professional manner either in person or via phone. Problems may be related to personal computer hardware, software (Windows, Microsoft Office), network connectivity, printers, phone system, mobile devices.

Essential Functions:

  • Respond to assigned Service Desk tickets and provide solutions for medium-to-high complexity PC, printer, mobile device problems. Escalate issues to more senior IT staff when problem is beyond their level of expertise or area of responsibility. Follow instructions and pre-established “How-to” and SOP documents. Routinely access / update tickets via IT Service Management tool.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action to prevent recurring issues.
  • Participate on team projects, to complete assigned tasks on time and to specification.
  • Conduct onboarding for new hires and configure new personal computers as part of refresh cycle, following pre-defined SOP.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Computer Science or comparable vocational training
  • Requires at least 2 to 3 years of IT experience during which time expertise would be gained in problem solving, technical documentation, and customer focus. Some technical training or certification. Expertise in business processes, SLAs, SOPs, and policies. Some IT technical training or ITIL Foundations
  • IT technical training with IT certification proven in Windows, MDM, and Cisco Networking
  • PC hardware or software expertise
  • IT Infrastructure Library (incident management skills, problem management skills, KCS method)
