Job Description: 

Summary:

Responsible for creation of ‘first time right’ and of continuous improvement culture across different product lines and supporting departments.

Ensure organization meets ISO/IATF and customer quality requirements with respect of corporate and local legal safety and environmental regulations.

Coordinate problem solving related to internal and external issues.

Handle customer visits, audits and quality complaints in an appropriate way.

Ensure appropriate quality training programs are in place.

Manage team of Quality Engineers across product lines.

Reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Implements, improves and maintains a Quality System compliant with required commercial, government and customer requirements.

  • Manages cross functional teams for customer complaint reduction and resolution, problem solving and key continuous improvement efforts.

  • Actively tracks and reports on quality metrics.

  • Develops and maintains partnership relationships with critical suppliers and customers.

  • Coordinate problem solving; follow up actions and report back on action plans.

  • Manage and develop the Quality team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

  • 6+ years of manufacturing quality experience

  • Some people management experience

  • Positive safety attitude

  • Knowledgeable of different ISO certifications (9001, 14000 and IATF) and audits

  • Customer facing experience

  • Experience with different quality tools and methodologies (root cause analysis, Ishikawa diagram analysis, 8D, 5W, PFMEA …)

  • Analytical thinking and demonstrated knowledge of SPC

  • Computer literate (SAP or PeopleSoft, statistical software e.g. minitab, infinity…)

  • Fluency in Dutch and English
