Job Description: 

Summary:

The Development Engineer role will be part of the RF Solutions Business of Rogers, Corporation. This role is on site, at our Suzhou, China facility. This role is responsible for developing products to support market-driven growth opportunities. The Engineer will perform lab-scale trials and generate reliable data analysis, maintain accurate records and documentation. He/she will work closely with internal team members to understand material and manufacturing constraints and scale products for commercial viability.

Essential Functions:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Execute market-driven development projects r.  Actively communicate with internal team members. Conduct trials at lab-scale, test and analyze the results, generate a clear experiment record. 50%
•Participate in scale-up production process, work with internal teams to solve problems and improve quality. 20%
•Communicate with direct supervisor timely on progress and prepare the weekly report. 15%
•Work with EHS, supply chain and facility to source and purchase lab devices and consumables as needed, maintain device and lab 5S.10%
•Other work assigned by the direct supervisor. 5%

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Material Science/Material Engineering/Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
•Well-developed analytical skills: ability to design, set-up, perform and interpret experiments.
•Knowledge of polymers is a strong plus. Experience with PTFE / Thermoset / Coatings are preferred.
•Experiences on chemical lab is preferred.
•Be able to work well in a multi-cultural Research and Development Team both in China and other countries.
•Ability to Communicate in English.
•MS Office Software skills.
