Job Description: 

Summary:

This role will be responsible for driving the logistics organization excellence in terms of trade compliance, managing logbook, optimization of worldwide shipping and freight activities, freight cost transparency, compliance to contracted routings, global policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement logistics networks for new customers and/or the evolving manufacturing footprint.
  • Optimization of regional and inter-regional material flows
  • Optimization logbook management in multiple sites to ensure the compliance.
  • Optimization of logistics management process
  • Develop regional strategies to secure the required space capacity for all modes related to customer pick-up and routed orders.
  • Develop Annual Operating Plan (AOP) cost reductions roadmap.
  • Audit adherence to contracted routings utilizing freight payment data and proactively identify lanes not under contract or competitively bid.
  • Expand utilization of digital freight marketplaces
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics Management or related field.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in global logistics
  • 5+ years’ experience managing logbook and trade compliance.
  • In depth knowledge of end-to-end global material flows
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing logistics cost reduction initiatives.
  • Experience with SAP ECC6, and preferrable also with S4 Hana and GTS.
