Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for leading strategic procurement initiatives within assigned categories, driving supplier innovation and total cost optimization to align with business unit objectives. The role requires deep market analysis and cross-functional collaboration to develop high-performance supply chains, mitigate risks, and support new product development through advanced sourcing methodologies. As a subject matter expert, the incumbent will mentor junior buyers while managing complex supplier relationships to achieve sustainable competitive advantages.

Essential Functions:

  • Advanced Sourcing to support BU new product development needs and operation need by understanding BU strategy, business needs, supplier/commodity market.
  • Build and maintain a strong supplier base to support business development. work with QA and engineering to evaluate and build up supplier base for Asia business.
  • In accordance with supplier segmentation management to act in developing commodity supplier to ensure supplying continuity and risk mitigation.
  • Drive the best total cost of ownership through cost analysis, price roadmap, should-be cost etc., and track the marketing price of cost driver for key commodity, seek any opportunity to make the competitive material price in align with business profitability improvement.
  • Create and maintain the purchasing data in ERP system timely and present reports and analysis to internal customer to take necessary action accordingly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 6+ years’ experience with category sourcing for polymers, injection molding and metallization experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement category management, supplier relationship management, negotiations and the strategic sourcing process.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Knowledge with ISO-17025, ISO 9001, IATF16949 quality management systems.
  • Travel:  Up to 25%
