Job Description: 

Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination and execution of production plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining accurate production data. The role is critical in supporting the production planning process to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Primary point of contact for in-process, quality, and work in progress; responsible for promptly reporting and informing supervisor, engineering, scheduling, and managing activities and relevant issues.
  • Fully responsible for processing all orders through the manufacturing area safely and efficiently while meeting quality objectives.
  • Train and evaluate production staff working within the manufacturing area. Provide feedback and frequent updates regarding employee product handling and equipment operations.
  • Monitor raw materials and consumables. Relay updates to the appropriate staff to ensure inventory is not depleted.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
  • <1 year of experience in production planning
  • Strong knowledge of production planning concepts, processes, and tools. 
  • Proficient in using production planning software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
