Job Description: 

Summary:

This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all facilities, equipment, and grounds owned or leased by the organization. This role will oversee a team of maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within budget.  Ensures that all employees have been educated on and abide by plant rules and procedures regarding safety, work standards, productivity, housekeeping, cost reduction, and waste.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement maintenance and repair programs to ensure the effective and efficient operation of all facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Participate in annual maintenance budgeting, ensuring that all work is completed within budgetary constraints.
  • Establish a preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime and minimize repair costs.
  • Manage a team of maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within established timelines.
  • Support safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements are met. Participate in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Oversee the procurement of parts and supplies necessary for maintenance and repair work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering or related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 6+ years of experience in facilities and maintenance management
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and techniquesUnderstands plant needs and plans for maintenance work to assure the site of smooth and efficient plant operations
