Job Description:
Summary:
Rogers Corporation is currently seeking a talented individual to join their Product Marketing team. This role is responsible for developing and delivering technical support training, and delivering day to day product marketing expertise to customers and internal teams. This role will alsp participate on new product development teams along with planning and sales analysis.
Essential Functions:
- Support Sales Staff:
- Develop and implements sales tools (sales manual, application stories, data sheets, product sampling)
- Responsible for all technical support activities from initial contact requests to product resolution. Prepare target account lists and make join customer visits with sales engineers as warranted.
- Participate in sales training
- Provide technical support to customers service, field sales group, distributors, and customers.
- New Market & Product Development
- Assist in new product design, product extension, literature development, sampling plans, inventory plans, and market introduction
- Drives product qualifications and new product launch activities to support product development process and implement new product launch plans.
- Product Line Support:
- Responsible for quality and consistency of product line communications with internal and external customers.
- Implements pricing strategies to support business growth.
- Drives sale and operation planning activities for short and long term forecast objectives.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Develops and maintains market information, competitor files, and maintains competitive position analysis documents.
- Routinely conducts research on key markets and primary competitors to understand their product offering and market strategy.
- Product Promotion
- Participates in trade show preparation, attends trade shows and analyzes results.
- Contributes to the development and implementation on further promotional tools like brochures, blogs, presentations, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. May consider experience in lieu of degree
- 5 + years’ of technical service experience
- Ability to learn new products and technologies
- Strong and open communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Specific market experience around engineered materials in the polymer field a plus.
