Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for managing the procurement process and sourcing, negotiating and purchasing goods and services for the organization. Work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement. Maintains relationships with suppliers for goods/services/equipment to include negotiation and enforcement of contract while maintaining high performance standards of delivery, quality expectations and corrective actions.

Essential Functions:

  • Purchase materials, parts, supplies, and services while optimizing cost, delivery and terms.
  • Secure pricing and availability and place purchase orders awork with Accounts Payable to rectify discrepant invoices.
  • Negotiate pricing and actively work on cost reduction activities for expense, supply, production, service items and some raw materials.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies and procedures to streamline purchasing activities and maximize cost savings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory control team to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and quality assurance, to align procurement activities with business objectives.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues, such as delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and invoice discrepancies, promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 4+ years experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and systems
