Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the Product Development Process (PDP) at the stakeholder level and for managing processes for R&D from inception to implementation. Act as subject matter expert to facilitate projects being delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate portfolio reviews and collection of key metrics. 
  • Ensure documentation and data integrity for portfolios.
  • Serve as resource and coach for Product Development Process (PDP) for various project teams.
  • Schedule, coordinate and facilitate all research and development project reviews.
  • Hold project teams accountable for complete project documentation and ensure the teams are appropriately prepared for gate reviews, check steps, etc. 
  • Communicate project decisions to stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, business administration or related field.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in product development processes, strategic marketing and/or project management.
  • Experience in business to business (B2B) specialty materials businesses.
  • Proven track record of managing successful projects from start to finish.
