Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of a long-term project, from planning and development to execution and delivery. Establishing a sound technical basis for these developments, this role will work closely with internal team members to understand material and manufacturing constraints. With a strong detail orientation, this position will help document development processes, report project updates, assist in experimental processes, and track results.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and oversee the project lifecycle. Must have strong project management skills including budgeting, planning, tracking, organization, attention to detail, critical thinking and sound engineering fundamentals.
  • Assembles and reports program metrics and communicates program status and deliverables for both management and the project team. Prepares regular key project update reports, which include the maintenance of key analytics and metrics for the project component making them readily accessible to all stakeholders/partners.
  • Initiates proactive discussions with stakeholders/partners to align on expectations and develop relationships.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of moderate to large technical and product development projects.
  • Review technical requirements for products and materials to develop and execute experimental tests for products and manufacturing processes.
  • Solve moderate to complex problems using conventional approaches or works with internal resources to develop new/unconventional solutions.
  • Extensively document processes and material specifications used in the development process.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 4+ years of Engineering experience
  • Ability to plan, organize and oversee multiple projects
