Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is accountable for the overall development of the Global Marketing Strategy for Rogers participation in the Automotive market (strong emphasis on Electric/Hybrid market) and is responsible for the deployment of said strategy through alignment with Product and Technology management, Operations and the global Sales team. Through close collaboration with customers, supply chain partners, and internal subject matter experts, creates and establishes the market, customer and technology roadmaps that position Rogers to be successful in solving our customers’ most challenging problems.

Essential Functions:

Global Market & Segment Development: Develops and leads the execution of the global AUTOMOTIVE market and sub-segment development plans, consistent with division strategic growth goals and objectives. Responsible for managing global segment strategies, priorities and leading the programs, projects and execution for the identification and pursuit of new market opportunities. Ensures that global strategies and plans are adopted and broken down to effectively address the various regional needs. Collaborates effectively with regional Sales teams, regional Marketing teams and global AUTOMOTIVE marketing team to develop the most effective strategies and tactics to successfully win segment opportunities. Develops and implements a company-wide global, and regionally specific, go-to-market plan and technical support tools for the AUTOMOTIVE segment, working with all necessary functions and stakeholders to execute.

Product Line Management: Responsible for representing the AUTOMOTIVE product line life-cycle, including all elements of revenue, profit planning and execution. Coordinates with Product Line management in the creation and management of an automotive-specific product line, with its own unique planning, pricing and portfolio positioning within each of divisions product lines.

New Product Development: Establishes product roadmaps, CTQ’s and Segment-specific business cases to support new product design, development, and the complete market introduction through companies R&D processes, working with global Technology resources to achieve defined customer CTQs and business financial goals.

Competitive Intelligence: Manages competitive intelligence collection, analysis, interpretation and information dissemination to stakeholders in support of strategic positioning and tactical execution through both regional and global resources. Identifies and assesses new competitors and new products in both current and evolving market and application areas. Responds quickly and effectively to competitive positioning to achieve the desired growth objectives for the business.

Regional Marketing Management: Acts as direct manager for the regional Automotive Marketing team, with a high emphasis placed on coaching, mentoring and building a high-performing marketing team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 10+ years of market segment management, product management or technical sales experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales or marketing leadership in the Automotive Industry. 
  • Technical aptitude proven through technical product knowledge and experience
