Job Description: 

Summary:

This role leads by example in delivering industry’s best customer support experience by developing deep expertise in target customer applications.  This position works side by side with sales and utilizes technical acumen and interpersonal skill to technically sell the product, as well as creates and maintains relevant customer and industry networks. Seen as go to person and expert in target product applications to the customers they serve. 

Essential Functions:

  • Utilize deep application expertise to develop new product extensions with current technology platforms and to provide customer testing differentiated value
  • Work side by side with sales to understand customer product needs and provide technical selling. 
  • Provide product and/or application expertise, ongoing technical support, and custom testing to existing customers
  • Create and maintain relevant customer and industry networks
  • Assist with the development of technical documents and provide training to fabricators, OEMs and sales engineers regarding proper and effective use of our materials (web tool concepts, white papers, etc)
  • Extract information from the customer and aid in effectively network to find solutions
  • Aid in development of future technology platforms 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 4+ years of experience in research and development, new product development or application development
  • Demonstrated success in technical solutions problem solving and selling.   
  • Travel:  Up to 50%
