Job Description: 

Summary:

This role will be responsible for the design and development of new products, improving existing products, and ensuring that products are manufactured to meet customer requirements. 

Essential Functions:

  • Understand the customer request which send by salesperson or customers.  5%

  • Leading to make DFM with team and discussing with customer or salesperson on the design idea to get aligned with customer on the final drawing spec. 10%

  • Project management and Project review meeting. 20%

  • Leading/participating the product design and tooling design. 10%

  • Proto Samples follow up and assure the quality meet customer spec and transfer the part to process team for mass production after proto samples approved by customers. 10%

  • Project coordination and tracking. 10%

  • Work out the technical competitive analysis and drive for the product improvement. 10%

  • Cost and internal audit 15%

  • Other issue assigned by supervisor.  10%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and electrical engineering or polymer material or related field

  • 5+years’ experience in product development management for a bachelor’s degree, with 2+years for a master’s degree

  • The ability to host English conference call (after 6 months in Rogers)

  •  Basic CAD drawing and editing

  •  Familiar with either tooling design process or product development process

  • Basic knowledges of molding processes

  • A certain degree of understanding of polymer material for material selection and customer discussions

  • Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multiple projects simultaneously
