Job Description: 


This role is responsible for all operational accounting and performance reporting, as well as maintenance of procedures and systems to address operational transaction and reporting needs.  Lead annual budget and forecasting initiatives and strive for operational excellence. Serve as key advisor for business strategy, operations management etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide accurate, consistent, and timely analysis and reporting.   Coordinate operational accounting responsibilities to assure timely recording of manufacturing transactions, accurate standard cost and inventory management, and all operating reporting requirements are met.
  • Work with local operations management team to facilitate effective business decisions and provide financial analysis. Support global & regional operation initiatives, and special projects.
  • Actively participate in annual plan and quarterly forecast processes – coordinate budget assumptions, expenses and deadlines with local management team and the worldwide divisional finance. Provide monthly forecasting information as input to the Corp biweekly process.
  • Partner with IT to support product costing and SAP transformation projects.
  • Maintain internal controls in accordance with corporate accounting and operational policies to accomplish sufficient risk mitigation and achieve operational and financial objectives.  Support internal audit initiatives and process enhancement efforts.
  • Maintain enterprise transfer price, review standard gross margin% by customer, by item and by project, support operations and commercial team for customer quotation analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years related work experience in a large multi-plant manufacturing company, including 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Aptitude for project management and process improvement
  • Solid understanding and experience in standard cost accounting
  • Experience with intercompany costing and transfer pricing process, and foreign currency translation
  • Working knowledge of Peoplesoft / Hyperion / SAP is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, internal controls, and GAAP (with regards to accounting and costing areas)
  • Fluent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong communication skills – ability to serve as effective team member in a large organization including communicating with local management team and the corporate finance team
  • Strong analytical skills
