Job Description: 

Summary:

This role is responsible for growing business with existing and new customers an assigned region.  Acquire knowledge around new sales opportunities and assist with the upsell and cross-sell of products and services to existing clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide direct sales and account coverage of assigned region to meet or exceed plan forecast.
  • Ownership of strategy, sales budget and customer satisfaction of key accounts in the assigned territory. Develop and execute a sales growth plan to achieve long term strategic growth plan.
  • Provide sales support for new applications and new product growth objectives of the business units. Penetrate new markets and help new product promotions.
  • Arrange and facilitate key customer visits within the region for marketing and other functional employees in support of the territory sales objectives.
  • Administer pertinent distributor agreements in assigned territory.
  • Use customer relationship management (CRM) tools to document visit reports, new opportunities, contracts and market conditions within assigned territory. Recommend new processes or strategies to capture or protect business opportunities.
  • Provide monthly territory forecast updates that feed into the Smart Planning program.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on competitive activities within the assigned region.
  • Develop, maintain and communicate competitive activity to peers, division and sales management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in sales and direct account management.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and market share.
  • Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Travel:  Up to 40%
