Job Description:
Summary:
The Demand Planning function serves as a conduit between Global Supply Planning, the Commercial organization and its Finance and Business Planning function beside the individual countries and markets.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for collecting demand forecast associated with the products intended to be distributed in a given market.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and other key roles within Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations to establish and then lead these functions through the standard execution of a global S&OP process.
- Lead the application of best practices, process and concepts to ensure high level of accuracy in the forecasting process and develops methodologies to track variances to forecasts and make improvements to the process.
- Gather global input from multiple sources to help predict and manage customer demand.
- Oversee daily activities of team and provide training or guidance as needed.
- Use and maintain all forecast within Oracle Demantra forecasting system and develop demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns.
- Champions and drives both Sales and Marketing Teams in forecast accuracy goals and oversee the support & train of users.
- Lead monthly Demand Meetings and participates in monthly Supply & Partnership meetings with Operations Team.
- Engage with Regional Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Business Unit leaders to evaluate forecasts vs. actual sales.
- Collaborate with Product Management & Sales Team to enhance capability of the S&OP Process. Assist in developing annual budgets and cost-effectiveness initiatives. Collaborate with IT Organization to improve the planning system.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process. Timely preparation and publication of demand dashboard using relevant reporting tools.
- Leads execution of a business process to translate annual sales plan (in dollars) into a sales budget in units that can be used to drive supply chain activity for existing and new products.
